Arnoldo Lacayo focuses his international litigation practice on financial fraud, asset recovery and cross-border insolvency. He has experience litigating complex disputes in both state and federal courts and has represented multi-national corporations, sovereign governments, Receivers, Trustees and other foreign officeholders in matters pending in U.S. Courts. Lacayo regularly supervises transnational investigations and has instructed counsel in dozens of jurisdictions. Lacayo also has extensive experience working with the versatile 28 U.S.C. § 1782 discovery statute and Chapter 15 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Lacayo is Florida Bar Board Certified in International Litigation and Arbitration.
Arnie has received numerous recognitions for his outstanding contributions to the legal profession, including being named to Florida Super Lawyers and Latinvex Top 50 Rising Legal Star for Latin America. He is also a sought-after speaker and member of distinguished organizations. In addition to serving as former Chair and current member of the Executive Council of The Florida Bar’s International Law
Section, Arnie is active with the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) where he currently serves as President of the Litigation Commission and Co-Chair of the National Representatives Committee. Arnie is also a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of International Law.
