Ms. Shweta Bharti carries with her an enriched experience of almost 20 years as a Litigator, having argued the matters herself in almost all High Courts of the Country besides the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, Competition Commission of India, NCLT'S, NCLATS and have led some pathbreaking cases, including on 'Reverse Insolvency'. She has also represented her Clients before the International and Domestic arbitral institutions, viz. ICC, SIAC, LCIA etc. Shweta has expertise in Dispute Resolution, Arbitration as well as Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Environmental Laws and Corporate Commercial Advisories, Corporate Governance and Compliance. She's a recipient of several awards & accolades some of which have been listed hereinbelow and is also a speaker at various Forums, Seminars and webinars both Domestic as well as International.
Shweta has represented clients in all facets of the corporate litigation and strategy. Clients refer to her as the 'most cooperative and diligent representative, as she understands the ecosystem of the problem and provides unique solution, making complex issues look very simple.
Shweta is also the Jurisdictional Council Member for India of Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), General Secretary of the Society of Women Lawyers (SOWL), and is also a very active member at various other international forums including the International Bar Association (IBA), Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), Society of Indian law Firms (SILF), I-Tech Law etc. She has recently been awarded as “Women in Law” by Legal Era in 2019 and recognized as “Exceptional Women of Excellence” by Women Economic Forum 2019. She was also recognized in “100 Powerful Women in Law” prepared by World IP Forum, as well as Dispute Resolution Star Asia Pacific 2019, by Bench Mark Litigation, in 2019 at Mumbai, India.
She is also sitting as the Independent Director in various multinational companies as well as acting as the External Member of the POSH Committees of Airport Economic Regulatory Authority and Observers Research Foundation (in the past), and conducted various investigations on various complaints. She's also a member of the Task Force formed by "Invest India", under the aegis of Department of Justice to examine the issues relating to Time Standards & Delays.
She is also a Group 'A' Panel Counsel for conducting the Central Government litigation, as well as the Panel Counsel for Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) as well as many other Panels of the Central & the State Government Departments & Authorities
Shweta has been a part of the workshop organized by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, Germany, and the Observer Research Foundation jointly under the aegis of Asian Forum on Global Governance to take a close look at the Asian region and at the challenges facing the global community.
