Andrew BergenSenior Vice President, Managing Director at CBRESpeaker
Profile
As Senior Vice President and Managing Director of CBRE's operations in Atlantic Canada, I oversee CBRE's Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton and St. John's offices and am directly involved in all business lines including; advisory and transaction services, debt and structured finance, project management and valuation and advisory services.
Commercial real estate services have been the focus of my entire career. I started at CBRE in 2008 as a Research Analyst in the Halifax office before moving to Calgary in 2010 to join Oxford Properties Group. During my tenure at Oxford, I held several positions including; overseeing a 1.5 million square foot AAA office portfolio in the downtown core and was responsible for executing the leasing strategy at Oxford Airport Business Park, a 4 million square foot multi-use development site. In 2016, I returned to CBRE's Halifax office as Vice President and Sales Manager alongside co-founder and longtime Managing Director of Atlantic Canada, Bob Mussett.
With over 15-years of industry experience, executing CBRE's growth strategy in Atlantic Canada has been my mission since rejoining the firm in 2016. My current focus includes accelerating revenue growth, training and development, and integrating our business lines.
I am passionate about employee collaboration and the needs of our clients. Our team will continue to produce greater client outcomes by elevating our company's incredible culture and nurturing the amazing talent that exists across CBRE Atlantic.
CBRE Atlantic has evolved into a full-service real estate services platform with over 50 real estate professionals. The potential of our company, our clients and the region as a whole is incredible.
Prior to starting my career in commercial real estate, I played competitive hockey winning a Memorial Cup with the Red Deer Rebels (2001) and an Atlantic University Sport championship with the Acadia Axemen (2006) before concluding my career playing professionally in the Norwegian Elite League (2008).
As a highly competitive person, and when not pursuing my career goals, I enjoy staying active with personal highlights being; completing the New York City Marathon (2010), Chicago Marathon (2015), Boston Marathon (2017) (2022) and the London Marathon (2023).
