Bill MacAvoy is the Managing Director and Principal of Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic, a role he has held for 11 of his 18 years in Commercial Real Estate. He is a frequent speaker on the state of the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick markets, combining social and demographic trends with the investment nature of the industry. Bill is a member of the Cushman national leadership team, and the Cushman Americas Alliance network. He has developed projects regionally and continues to hold various investment properties. He began his professional career in the international shipping and natural resource sectors prior to entering Commercial Real Estate.

Bill resides in Halifax, but spends time in all six regional urban markets. He holds an B.Sc. Honours in Economics and an MBA, and is involved at a Board level with a variety of youth sport, business and non-profit organizations.
