Profile

Dennis Campbell’s tourism career began 50 years ago at age seven, when he first realized that “little old ladies have a lot of money.” By fourteen, he was leading tours; by sixteen, he had his own tour company; by nineteen, a publishing business; and by twenty-one, a bus line. His persistence in reaching out to cruise line executives in those early years helped transform Ambassatours Gray Line into Atlantic Canada’s largest cruise ship shore excursion operator partnering with every major cruise line across 21 ports in all four Atlantic provinces.

Ambassatours today is Atlantic Canada’s premier land, water, and amphibious sightseeing company. The company owns the Gray Line Worldwide sightseeing license for the Maritime provinces and operates a diverse fleet that includes nine vessels, iconic Harbour Hopper amphibious vehicles, and several Halifax waterfront ticket outlets. Following the highly successful launch of Harbour Hoppers Charlottetown this year, Ambassatours is now planning to expand the Harbour Hopper experience to additional destinations across Atlantic Canada.

Dennis credits his success to the exceptional team of talented, hard-working people who surround him and to the unwavering support of his family at home.
