Speaker

Profile

Jeremie joined First National in 2022 as a Director in Commercial Lending. As part of Canada’s largest non-bank lender and CMHC experts, he works within an industry-leading team that lends billions of dollars annually to commercial real estate projects. What sets First National apart is not only the capital it provides but also the depth of expertise and empowerment of its people. Advisors like Jeremie are dedicated to delivering tailored financing strategies that help clients achieve lasting success.

Prior to joining First National, Jeremie spent nearly two decades in mortgage lending and housing. Seventeen of those years were with CMHC, where he held progressive roles in underwriting, business development, research, and multi-unit direct lending. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience in retail banking and residential mortgage originations.

Drawing on his extensive CMHC background, Jeremie brings tremendous expertise in the apartment sector. He offers clients deep insight into housing markets, real estate finance, affordable housing, and CMHC’s underwriting approach and risk appetite. These perspectives allow him to set realistic expectations, structure deals with precision, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions that align with client objectives.

Jeremie holds the Certified in Real Estate Finance (CRF) designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC). He is a past Board Member and Treasurer of REIC’s Nova Scotia Chapter and previously served on the Board of the Nova Scotia Home Builders’ Association.
