Kim has been president of Royer Thompson since 2017 and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the firm, which focuses on senior leader recruitments and talent advisory. She has had success in attracting top talent to Halifax and sees a compelling reason for leaders to relocate and build their careers in the region.

Prior to joining Royer Thompson, Kim was partner and chief client officer, NATIONAL Public Relations, based in Toronto, overseeing the transformation of the firm's largest Canadian office. Prior to becoming a partner in NATIONAL in 2012, she spent over 20 years as a co-owner of a pre-eminent communications advisory firm.

Kim chairs the Board of Directors of Medavie Inc. and is a former chair of Medavie Health Foundation Board. She serves on the Board of Directors of Eastward Energy Inc.,and is a former director of the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans, NATIONAL Public Relations, CAA Maritimes, IWK Health Centre and is past chair of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Canadian Public Relations Society-NS Chapter.
