Marilisa has been working in real estate, property management and acquisitions for over 25 years. As President of the Benigno Group of companies and Ventura Realty Ltd., she strives to offer tenants and business associates expert knowledge, professionalism and integrity.

With over 300 commercial and residential tenants who lease in one of Benigno Group’s properties across HRM, Marilisa is dedicated to ensuring her team is providing exemplary service and high building standards.

In recent years she has embarked on property development, having completed two multiunit luxury apartment buildings, The Ventura and The Ventura on Young, with 2 more underway on the Halifax peninsula.

Marilisa strives to be exemplary in dealing with the existing challenges of being one of the only female property developers in Atlantic Canada; she wants to help lead the charge to change the leadership landscape of property development in HRM.

She is also proud to be the Honorary Consul of Italy for Atlantic Canada, where she has formed strong relationships with our various levels of government in order to assist Canadians and Italians alike with immigration, trade and travel enquiries.
