Profile
Mario began his career as an economist at the Bank of Canada in 1991, working in the Research Department and the International Relations Department. He joined the Conference Board of Canada in 1998, initially in the International Studies Department. He then worked with the Ministries of Finance of Tunisia, Morocco, and Ukraine. From 2001 to 2013, Mario headed the Conference Board's Centre for Municipal Studies, conducting economic and financial forecasts for Canada's metropolitan regions.
In 2014, Mario transitioned to the world of commercial real estate, where he first served as President and CEO of the Urban Development Institute of Quebec. He then joined Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2016 as Vice-President, Research.
From June 2020 to December 2024, Mario Lefebvre returned to the Bank of Canada as Regional Director of the Bank's Quebec Office.
Mario joined Aviseo Conseil in January 2025 as a Consulting Associate.
