Paul MacKinnon has been the CEO of Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC) since 2002. Dedicated to passionately pursuing a more vibrant and prosperous Downtown, DHBC focuses on advocacy, placemaking, marketing, and membership engagement for its 1600 member businesses in Eastern Canada’s largest city. He serves on the boards of the International Downtown Association, Downtowns Atlantic Canada, and the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. In 2022, he was one of the first Canadians to receive a certification in Leadership in Place Management (LPM).
