Todd is a real estate executive and consultant with 25+ years of experience in all facets of the commercial real estate industry throughout Canada, including activities in the US and the EU.

He is currently the Principal at BEC Realty Advisors Inc., providing real estate advisory and consulting services to a variety of real estate organizations.

Between 2020 and 2023 Todd, along with partners in Germany, Luxembourg and Halifax, established the “RECan Global Canadian Real Estate Fund”. A Luxembourg based investment fund targeting institutional and family-office capital in the EU for investments in Canadian real estate.

He was previously a senior executive for Cominar REIT where he was responsible for Cominar’s acquisitions/dispositions, asset management services and secured debt requirements. Todd joined Cominar in 2010 when it acquired Overland Realty Ltd., a public REOC, where he had been CFO since 2006.

Prior to joining Overland, Todd spent ten years in various real estate roles at Manulife and Maritime Life, including overseeing a commercial real estate portfolio, managing corporate real estate requirements, and mortgage origination throughout Canada.

He has been invited to speak at real estate conferences and seminars in a number of locations in Canada, the US, and Germany.

Todd holds both a CPA (CMA) designation and a CFA designation and has been on the boards of Mount Saint Vincent University, Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia, Lacrosse Nova Scotia and the Sackville Minor Hockey Association.
