Course Overview

This balanced scorecard course is required for practitioners who want to acquire the Master Professional Certification from the Balanced Scorecard Institute – the highest level of certification in this line of work. This BSMP course is designed for those who have already achieved the BSP certification and passed the exam.

The training covers advanced balanced scorecard topics, mentoring from a senior institute certifying trainer, and the development of a student practical application. This five-day course uses the institute’s nine-step Balanced Scorecard framework: Building and Implementing a Balanced Scorecard: Nine Steps to Success™. The culmination of the programme is a student presentation to the class and instructors.

This balanced scorecard training course is a way to "upgrade" the attendees’ work to full BSMP certification. The program is ideal for participants charged with building, implementing, managing, and sustaining balanced scorecard planning and management systems.

It was developed for members of internal balanced scorecard teams who want to learn how to build, deploy, and sustain scorecard systems and help them incorporate lessons learned and best practices into the development of a strategic management system.

Course Methodology

For each step of the balanced scorecard course, training participants will use case studies and exercises in small groups to allow each individual to practice facilitation techniques and receive feedback from the instructor. If you choose to enrol, you will work with your colleagues from a wide variety of organisations with different perspectives.

You are expected to come to the program with an application example from your organisation or from a personal interest area and build your scorecard during the class, getting expert instructor feedback at each step of the process.
