Dr. Vasenkov earned a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from the Russian Academy of Sciences and an M.B.A. from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. He has served as the Principal Investigator on more than 18 R&D software projects funded by the U.S. federal and state governments, as well as commercial companies, with total funding exceeding $6 million. In 2013, Dr. Vasenkov co-founded Multi Scale Solutions, Inc., a small business focused on the development and commercialization of artificial intelligence software for complex life science problems. In 2015, he founded Sunergolab, Inc. to provide breakthrough solutions to advanced materials research and development. In 2021, Dr. Vasenkov co-founded Mathinvestments, Inc., which is developing the FinancialAnalyst AI technology and has received funding from NSF America's Seed Fund and Innovate Alabama.
