Alvin Chia is the Head of Digital Assets Innovation for Asia Pacific at Northern Trust. He spearheads the development of market-leading innovations that advance Northern Trust’s digital asset strategy, focusing on tokenization, blockchain integration and next-generation market infrastructure. Alvin works closely with FinTechs, industry associations, regulators, and government agencies to shape the evolution of digital assets ecosystems across the region. With over a decade of experience in innovation leadership, Alvin has held senior roles across consulting and financial services. Prior to Northern Trust, he was the Expert Senior Manager of Innovation at Bain and Company, where he advised Fortune 500 leaders on achieving their strategic transformation goals. Alvin holds a PhD from the College of Design and Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is also an alumnus of Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
