Simon Barrows is the Services Director at Icon Solutions, and a consultant specialising in financial services technology strategy and innovation. He was previously CTO/Chief Architect for Consumer Banking at Lloyds Banking Group, including during the LTSB/HBOS integration, and has held interim Chief Architect roles at several organisations, including Vocalink (now part of Mastercard) and for Banking and Payments at Nationwide Building Society. Over his career, Simon has worked at more than 20 banks and other financial services organisations, both in the UK and internationally, giving him a broad view of the various challenges banks face and key themes in their technology strategies, which he/Icon regularly advise on.Simon has judged multiple times on technology awards across the banking industry, including with The Banker, FStech and Finder.
