Simon Hinks is a Data Protection Practitioner and consultant with a career spanning banking, fintech, payments and regulatory compliance. After senior data, marketing and compliance roles with Santander and Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, he established PMA and has since advised technology-led financial businesses on privacy, governance, due diligence and international expansion. His fintech experience includes acting as DPO or data protection adviser to Swiipr, the airline disruption payments platform; Neosurf, the global online payments and voucher provider; and LifeTidy, an open banking app. He has also supported Monese, Zip Co and Choice Bank. Simon lectures on the global impact of GDPR at the Universities of Pittsburgh and Colorado Boulder, is a long-standing judge for the International Loyalty Awards, and is a member of the IAPP and NADPO. He brings a practical, commercial perspective to judging innovation in banking technology.
