Profile

Julian Bertschinger is Head of EMEA for the External Scientific Innovation organization of Johnson & Johnson. From 2019 until July 2025, Julian was Global Head of External Innovation for Discovery, Product Development & Supply (DPDS). Prior to that role, Julian was Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Covagen, a Swiss biotech company that was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2014. Julian Bertschinger studied molecular biology and biochemistry and obtained his PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
