Profile
Dr. Abobatta is an Egyptian agricultural scientist specializing in sustainable fruit production. A significant part of his research focuses on adapting fruit orchards to climate change by different techniques like net shading and the application of plant stimulants to promote a plant's own immune system to fight off diseases and improve fruit yield. He is PI of FIGURE Project (funded by PRIMA), a member of International Citrus Society (ICS), International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East & North Africa (AARINENA). He published more than 100 scientific works.
