André is Principal at Biovance Capital, with over two decades of experience in Molecular Oncology, translational research, and oncology‑focused investing. He holds a PhD in Health Sciences, with doctoral research conducted at Imperial College London – School of Medicine, and an MSc in Molecular Oncology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto.

André combines a strong academic background with professional experience as an investor overseeing oncology companies. Prior to Biovance Capital, he held a senior leadership role at i3S, the largest health research institute in Portugal, where, as Coordinator of the Translational Research and Innovation Program, he led strategic co‑development programs with hospitals and global pharmaceutical companies, supporting the design of clinical studies, innovation programs, and long‑term industry collaborations.
