Alterras Therapeutics is a young preclinical startup in Vienna developing therapies acting on a promising new pathway: the alternative RAS (renin angiotensin system). Our current indication is pulmonary hypertension - an orphan disease with high medical need and considerable market size. Our lead compound was not only able to match the current clinical standard in vivo, but even outperformed it in some parameters. We are currently investigating other RAS driven diseases to broaden our portfolio.
