Lorenzo Maggioni

Head of Research & Development at Consorzio Italiano Biogas

Lorenzo Maggioni (male, Dr.), received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Agriculture of Milan, with a thesis on Agricultural Ecology. He has an excellent knowledge of multifunctional agriculture and, in particular, of the production of energy from renewable sources. Since 2011 he is Head of Research and Development of Consortium Italian Biogas, where he led several European funded projects (GreenGasGrids, BIOSURF, ISAAC, etc.). Currently he is participating in the project SABANA (Sustainable Algae Biorefinery for Agriculture aNd Aquaculture) and REGATRACE (REnewable GAs TRAde Centre in Europe). He was a board member of the NGVA Europe and of the Working Group of the Italian Gas Committee "EU Mandate M475- biomethane". He is a member of the working Group for Biomethane of the Consorzio Italiano Biogas and of the European Biogas Association. He is an expert of the biomethane sector and he has participated, as a speaker, in numerous international conferences and workshops.
