Profile
I am currently an Instructor at Baylor College of Medicine developing cellular therapies against cancer under the supervision of Dr. Cliona Rooney at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy (CAGT). My research interests have focused on engineering T-cells that can be used as off-the-shelf treatments for cancer to improve their accessibility and extend their great potential to more patients. In particular, we have worked on overcoming the two main barriers to off-the-shelf T-cell therapies, namely preventing host reactivity of the T-cells and allowing them to resistant rejection by the immune system of the host.
