Loren is Vice President of Scientific Solutions at Riffyn, a team focused on providing customers with the best-in-class experience in implementation, training, and utilization of Riffyn Nexus, the world’s first Process Data System. Prior to Riffyn, he was Director of Quality, Analytics, and Manufacturing at Bolt Threads, a synthetic biology-based company aimed at making novel materials for sustainability. He also worked as a Senior Scientist at Amyris (in synthetic biology for fuels, cosmetics, flavors + fragrances) and as a Group Lead at Nitto Denko Technical Corporation, working on polymer- and liposome-based drug delivery systems. Loren has a PhD. in Materials Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a bachelor’s in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College.
