Martijn Kelder obtained his MSc in molecular genetics from Utrecht University, after which he further specialized in the mechanisms of genetic engineering and deep mutational scanning during his doctoral training at the University of Edinburgh. He has co-authored in several journals including PLoS Biology and Nature.
