Charles Mitchell is a Senior Scientist at Visterra, leading the cell culture development group within the CMC function. He and the group are responsible for accelerating the research-to-development transition through in-house cell line development, as well as directing outsourced GMP manufacturing for the clinical pipeline. Charles has an industrial background in process development, technology transfer and scaleup of cell culture processes for large scale manufacturing. He earned his degree in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
