Christina leads the US-based Biologics Process Development group at Takeda, which is responsible for development of robust and efficient upstream and downstream processes for protein biologics and viral vectors to support the clinical and commercial pipeline as well as cell line development for all clinical and commercial programs. Previously she led the Proteins Upstream Development group at Biogen, which included cell line and cell culture development as well as initiatives in omics and modeling. After completing a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University, she worked in cell culture and fermentation development at Chiron Corp in Emeryville, CA, then went on to pursue a PhD in Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University
