Delia Lyons is a Principal Scientist in the Cell Culture Process Development Group at AbbVie where she manages a team of scientists developing drug substance manufacturing processes for FIH, late-stage and life-cycle-management programs.

Throughout her career, previously at Gibco and then SAFC, Delia nurtured her interest in understanding cellular metabolism and studied its modulation through cell culture media and process optimization for fed-batch and perfusion.

In her current role, Delia continues leveraging aspects of cell culture media and metabolism to lead her team in developing robust high yielding processes through rational design.
