Edwin Shen is an expert in building instrument control software for cell culture applications. He received his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, Merced. There, he was awarded an NSF I-Corps grant for the design of ModiPrint, an open-source bioprinter that prints live cells embedded in small molecule gradients. In the biopharma industry, Edwin has led upstream process development efforts for preclinical stage bispecifics. Currently, Edwin is a Principal Scientist at Pfizer where he designs and deploys bioreactor advanced process controls (APC) using in-house tools.
