Elise is a Senior Automation Engineer at AstraZeneca supporting clinical manufacturing and scale up manufacturing at AstraZeneca’s biopharmaceutical development hub in Gaithersburg, MD. She leads the design and strategy of implementing new continuous process controls, system integration, and data management solutions for the clinical pilot facility. Her background in validation and quality engineering informs her design decisions for more automated and flexible methods of producing biologics founded upon maintaining data integrity and supporting a well-controlled process. Elise received her BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA and has over a decade of biotech industry experience.
