CAPT James Coburn is the Senior Advisor for Emerging Technology at FDA’s Office of Counterterrorism and Emerging Threats where he leads a team focused on identifying and removing roadblocks to cross-cutting and advanced and emerging technologies that enable an agile manufacturing base and resilient supply chain. He was previously the Medical Manufacturing Innovation Lead for the Health Outcomes Division of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). As a Public Health Service officer, CAPT Coburn also deploys to disasters and outbreak zones where agile processes and digital systems can help to improve the response.
