Kat is passionate about making personalized therapies available to more patients – faster. She believes that unlocking the power of AI and assembling large, comprehensive data sets through collaboration will help accelerate and reduce costs of therapy development. Her experience in regulated environments, her graduate work in Neuroscience in the lab of a Nobel laureate, and a keen understanding of decision-making have positioned her to develop a privacy-, compliance-, and ethics-focused AI implementation framework. She works with pharma, biotech, regulators, industry associations, and technology providers on identifying and mitigating risks of AI deployment and ensuring deployment that accelerates insights while maintaining privacy, compliance, and ethics. Kat has 8 years of academic research experience at MIT and Stanford, 10+ years of strategy and commercialization experience at Thermo Fisher Scientific, at Sartorius, at a number of startups, and working with clients.
