Neal Gordon joined Flagship in 2024 as Senior Vice President, Enabling Technology Initiative, a strategic initiative to foster creation of enabling technologies for the life sciences and biotech sectors. The initiative will work with partners and across Flagship and its ecosystem of companies to accelerate the development of new therapeutic modalities.
Neal brings over 30 years of experience in the life science industry with a strong record oftechnology innovation and translation of platform technologies into products. He joinedFlagship from BDO USA, where he was Managing Director of the BioProcess Technologygroup, overseeing the CMC biologics client project portfolio. Neal held a series of leadershiproles at Flagship-founded companies, including Chief Development Officer at CobaltBiomedicine (now Sana Biotechnologies), Senior VP of R&D at BG Medicine, where he ledthe development of an FDA 510K approved heart failure diagnostic, and President of Epitome Biosystems, focused on developing and commercializing protein measurement products. He started his career at PerSeptive Biosystems, where he led the development and marketintroduction of the BioCAD instrument, a multi-column chromatography workstation.Neal obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute ofTechnology and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
