Dr. Pitchai Sangan serves as the Associate Director of Cell Line Development at Boston Institute of Biotechnology LLC (BIB). With a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and postdoctoral training in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, Pitchai brings over 20 years of experience in cell line development to his role. His expertise spans molecular biology, vector design, bioprocessing, and bioanalytical techniques.

At previous roles, such as Director of Reagents Operations at IsoPlexis and Senior Principal of Cell Line Development Operations at Hyprocell LLC, he successfully improved processes, achieved substantial cost savings, and developed high-producing stable cell lines for antibodies and proteins. His leadership at Oncobiologics Inc. saw the establishment of a molecular biology and cell line development laboratory, resulting in significant advancements in antibody drug development.

Pitchai's experience also includes leadership roles at esteemed organizations such as Curagen Corporation, Agenus Inc./Astellas Pharma U.S. Inc., and 454 Life Sciences (a Roche company), where he played key roles in cell line development, molecular biology, and process optimization.

Now, as the Associate Director of Cell Line Development at BIB, Pitchai continues to drive excellence in the field, leveraging his deep expertise to maximize company objectives while maintaining industry-leading standards of quality and efficiency.
