Preeti G. Desai, Ph.D. is a passionate scientist with over 12 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, focusing on the development of patient-centric biologics drug products. As a Senior Principal Scientist and Senior Manager in the Sterile Drug Product Development department at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), she has spearheaded numerous projects and teams in the formulation and process development of monoclonal antibodies, and innovative protein-based modalities, including antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific and trispecific antibodies, and fusion proteins. Renowned for her creative problem-solving skills and commitment to excellence, Preeti has made significant contributions to BMS’s biologics portfolio at various stages of development, including life cycle management. As a mentor to young STEM scientists within the BMS Network of Women (B-NOW), she promotes a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Her leadership and mentorship have established her as a thought leader in the field, and she actively engages in industry forums, greatly influencing BMS's organizational culture and scientific community. Previously, she spent 7 years at Merck & Co. Inc. and a year at Celgene Corporation, a subsidiary of BMS. Preeti holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacist) from Mumbai University.
