Sébastien Walpen is an engineer with a Bachelor’s in Microtechnology and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Bern. His career spans research and industry roles, including positions at EPFL and GE Healthcare, where he developed strong project management skills in life sciences and multidisciplinary projects. With a focus on adhering to medical device standards, Sébastien has successfully overseen projects from initial specifications through to manufacturing in bioprocessing. At Hôpital du Valais, he served as a Biomedical Engineer, where he was instrumental in advancing medical technology through effective negotiation and collaboration.

In 2019, Sébastien co-founded Ceidos, a Swiss biotech startup, where he currently serves as CEO. In this capacity, he has been key in transforming a proof-of-concept into a functional product, driving its development toward industrialization.
