Song ZhiweiSenior Principal Scientist at Nexa BiologicsSpeaker
Profile
Dr. Song Zhiwei obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Department of Biological Chemistry at the University of Michigan, where he studied protein glycosylation. He completed his postdoctoral training in the Biology Department at MIT, followed by two years working in Dr. Daniel I.C. Wang’s lab at the Biotechnology Process Engineering Center (BPEC) at MIT. For over 20 years, Dr. Song served as a Senior Principal Scientist at the Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI) under ASTAR. His research has focused on protein glycosylation and antibody production in CHO cells. He recently left ASTAR to start a biotech company developing novel anti-cancer antibodies.
