Yanhuai (Richard) Ding is Sr. Director, CMC DS/DP, EvolveImmune Therapeutics. He worked in multiple biotech companies such as ThermoFisher, Shire HGT, Lonza, AnaptysBio, Biogen, Immunogen etc. He earned his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2000 from University of Waikato, New Zealand. He had a few decades of experience in CMC biologics, fermentation, protein purification process development, technology transfer, manufacturing support, viral clearance, process characterization & validation, and regulatory filing (IND) from bsAbs, mAbs, Fabs, enzymes, HIV vaccine, Collagen 7, biosimilars, plasmids, AAVs... He published more than 35 scientific papers (in USA, New Zealand, and China), a few book chapters, one in Bioprocessing, Bioengineering and Process Chemistry in the Biopharmaceutical Industry (Springer Nature 2024, edited by Dr. K Gadamasetti & SA Kolodziej) and the other (in press) in Process Scale Purification of Antibodies (3rd edition by Dr. U Gottschalk), several innovations from process development and/or manufacturing in vaccine, gene therapy and tumor therapy field.
