BIOVEGEN – Spanish Technology Platform for Plant Biotechnology is a public-private partnership, led by the business sector, which brings together entities from the agrifood sector with an interest in R&D in applied Plant Biology. Its objective is to improve the agrifood sector competitiveness through the entities, connecting technological offer & demand and generating business opportunities through public-private collaboration. It performs as an interface between academy, industry and Administration, offering tools to facilitate R&D activities for its members. Currently, the Platform has 176 members: 146 companies and 23 research centres, as well as the Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation, which supports and co-finances this initiative. Furthermore, BIOVEGEN is open to partnerships with other entities within the sector

La Plataforma Tecnológica Española de Biotecnología Vegetal – BIOVEGEN es una entidad público-privada cuyo objetivo es la mejora de la competitividad del sector a través del desarrollo de tecnologías procedentes de la Biología Vegetal. Articula a entidades del sector agroalimentario español, poniendo en contacto la oferta y demanda de tecnología, y generando oportunidades de negocio a través de la colaboración Ciencia-Empresa. Actúa como interfaz entre la comunidad científica, empresarial y la Administración, ofreciendo herramientas que facilitan las actividades de I+D+i a sus socios. Actualmente cuenta con 176 entidades socias: 146 empresas, 23 organismos de investigación y el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, que apoya y cofinancia la iniciativa. BIOVEGEN está abierta a colaboraciones con otras entidades del sector.
