Creating a sustainable event experience
The Biostimulants World Congress is not only discussing sustainable biostimulants and agricultural processes but taking active steps now to reduce waste
We’re committed to running events which are both environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. Here’s a breakdown of how we’re embedding sustainability in everything we do….
INITIATIVES ONSITE
At Biostimulants World Congress we believe that running all of our events responsibly, with consideration for the sustainability of our markets and our industry, can help us deliver better events, better business and a better world.
Food and Beverage
We want to offer a delicious, healthy and sustainable menu to our delegates. We work with the local caterer on an offering that is as seasonal and regional as possible with many plant-based options. To avoid food waste, we manage our order amounts thoroughly and donate any leftover food.
Encouraging Public Transport
We encourage delegates during their attendance to use public transport for their travel and work closely with local authorities to to provide easy access to the local networks.
Wellness Onsite
Wellbeing is important to us and apart from our external activities, we will also have wellbeing lounges at the venue, offering massages, to restore your energy between partnering meetings. A "Beach Run" session will also be organized throughout the conference to offer delegates time to take some breath and energy before for their next activity: Date: 14th November at 08:00-08:30. Location: Miami Beach (meeting point will be emailed to those joining)
A silent space will also be provided for moments of reflection and prayer.
Agenda Sessions
We aim to contribute to a sustainable biostimulants industry through our initiatives.
This is through our content, speaker diversity and opportunities for young companies, either through company presentations of all levels, geo and sizes, as well as startups and students through our startup and posters awards.
Reducing Waste
We are committed to championing sustainable resource usage. This means managing, reducing, and preventing waste through programs, initiatives, innovative systems and technologies, awareness and behavior measures and applying the principles of a circular economy. To us, food is only truly wasted if it ends up in the landfill. We work with the local caterer who plan better to eliminate excess food, recover donatable food and re-purpose food scraps or unused food for animals.
Supporting Communities through Food Donations and Volunteerism
We are committed to supporting the local communities in which we serve. By donating viable food to those in need we are helping to create meaningful change. We are committed to improve community health and fight food insecurity by providing surplus food to local organizations serving individuals in need.
Outdoor Activities
We have a very exciting outdoor activity to compliment your attendance at Biostimulants World Congress, providing you a chance to experience the congress in a different way.
Rise & Run
Join us for a morning run and get energized for your demanding day ahead.
You will enjoy a social run at an easy pace around the beautiful Miami beach.
Date: 14th November
