J.M. Cappia is the Head of Market Development for Downstream Process Intensification at Sartorius, based in Aubagne, France. He graduated as a Biotechnology Engineer from INSA of Toulouse and has over 35 years of experience supporting the biopharmaceutical industry worldwide, particularly in process design, process validation, training, and the implementation of single-use purification and fluid management technologies. Since joining Sartorius in 2006, Mr. Cappia has been responsible for marketing, product management, and business development for emerging single-use technologies. In his current role, he assists global biopharma industry customers in intensifying their downstream processes, focusing on process design and cost modeling. His objective is to help produce safer and more affordable biologicals within sustainable manufacturing facilities.
