Joe brings over a decade of experience supporting Avantor’s life sciences customers with both custom and off-the-shelf solutions. With deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of emerging markets, he has played a key role in developing Avantor's cell and gene therapies business as new modalities continue to evolve. Joe’s ability to navigate the dynamic regulatory environment has contributed to his success in delivering impactful solutions in a complex and fast-moving field.

He holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Galway and has completed postdoctoral research in genomics and cardiac developmental biology at Cardiff and Bristol Universities. Most recently, in 2024, Joe earned an MSc in Cellular Manufacturing and Therapy from the University of Galway, further strengthening his capabilities in advanced therapeutics.
