Julian Hitzler

Senior Expert Science & Technology, Drug Substance Development at Novartis Pharma

Julian is a Biotechnologist by training and studied in Germany and Singapore. In 2011, he joined the Early Phase Downstream Processing group of Novartis in Basel/Switzerland and was developing purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and therapeutic proteins. After two years in commercial manufacturing as a Process Engineer at Roche, he joined the Late Phase Downstream Processing group of Novartis where he is currently working on developing, transferring and characterizing continuous downstream processes.
