Kerstin Brack is a Scientific Director at Charles River’s Erkrath, Germany facility, serving as a subject matter expert for biologics biosafety testing. She studied biology and received her degree at the University of Bremen in Germany where her PhD thesis focused on the interactions of the Hepatitis A virus with its host cells. In 2001 Kerstin joined NewLab BioQuality AG (now Charles River) as a Study Director for viral and prion validation studies. She also established analytical test methods for biosafety testing of biologics as well as cell-based potency assays. From 2004 to 2018 she headed Charles River’s departments for biosafety testing and bioassay services.
