Principal Scientist, Therapeutic Virus Development at Boehringer Ingelheim

Marija Brgles completed her Chemistry degree and Biochemistry PhD at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. Over a span of 16 years, she conducted extensive research on a wide variety of subjects, with a particular emphasis on liposomes, proteins, viruses, and other biomacromolecules. Her work involved their purification, analytical method development, biochemical and biophysical characterization, and the study of their in vitro and in vivo activity. In 2020, she made a professional transition and started working at Boehringer Ingelheim, where she is currently involved in the early stage process development of oncolytic viruses.
