Damon Tanzola began his career in Real Estate Development more than 24 years ago in Vancouver, BC. His extensive retail background comprises of working for retailers such as Whitespot Restaurants, Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall and Wendy’s. His background also extends into development and construction having held positions with Windridge Properties and Hopewell Development Corporation. He has been a member of the Executive Leadership Team of Calgary Co-op since 2017, valuing the cooperative culture that runs deeply through the organization, and how Co-op is part of the community, providing service and support to members. He brings an extensive background in real estate development, acquisition and divestiture, strategic planning, retail expansion and operations. In his current role he leads the Real Estate & Development team as well as Calgary Co-op’s Health and Wellness businesses which include, Calgary Co-op Pharmacies, Beacon Pharmacies, Community Natural Foods, and Home Health Care. Damon is part of the Executive Committee for the Care Pharmacy Group, and Damon also sat on the Board of Directors at YMCA Calgary from 2019-2022 and was a key member of their Strategy and A&I committees.
