As a Senior Vice President, Strategy & Transactions - Real Estate within EY Canada’s Transaction Real Estate practice, David brings more than two decades of real estate sector knowledge and expertise to EY’s global practice, providing strategic advisory, transaction and valuation services to real estate owners, developers, investors, lenders and public sector clients in the residential, mixed-use, commercial and resort & hospitality sectors.

Having informed and guided over 100 development projects, from master-planned mixed-use communities to catalytic urban city-building developments, David and the Alberta Transaction Real Estate team assist clients to unlock real estate value through in-depth market intelligence and trend analysis, product and positioning strategy, financial modeling, capital sourcing & financing, customized transaction and deal structure strategy, restructuring and distressed real estate advisory, and portfolio & asset valuation.

David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph, has led the creation of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Alberta District Council, serving as founding Chair, and is currently a member of the ULI Alberta board and guiding the national ULI Canada Council initiative.
