Eddie Lee is the Director of Assessment & Tax and City Assessor for The City of Calgary, where he oversees property assessment and tax administration for more than 600,000 properties. His work supports the collection of more than $3.7 billion in property taxes each year, helping fund essential services Calgarians rely on, including police, fire, roads, parks, and education.

An economics graduate of the University of Alberta, Eddie holds the Accredited Assessor and Accredited Appraiser designations with the Alberta Assessors’ Association and Appraisal Institute of Canada. Since joining The City of Calgary in 2006, he has built extensive experience in assessment and taxation, bringing over two decades of public-sector leadership and technical expertise to his role. Eddie offers a practical, customer-focused, and data-informed perspective to conversations on property assessment, taxation, and Calgary’s evolving real estate landscape.
