Jacob Weber

Jacob Weber holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours (Civil Engineering) and certificate in Structural Engineering from the University of Waterloo. His nearly twenty-year career has spanned the real estate spectrum, taking on a variety of roles in development and asset management throughout the Americas.

Jacob leads the development division at Royop and in the last five years has grown the division by expanding through increased geography and diversification of asset class. The team is currently actively developing over $1.5 billion in retail and multi-family assets in western Canada.

Currently Jacob is a member of the Calgary Planning Commission (CPC), a committee appointed by City Council which acts as the approving authority on all subdivision and development matters. Jacob is honoured to be an active member of CPC. By drawing upon industry experience, he is able to participate and make thoughtful recommendations towards the City’s vision and planning. As an instructor at the University of Calgary, Jacob brought his expertise to the Real Estate Development & Urbanization course, enriching students’ understanding and preparing them for success in the field.
