Matt is the Founder & Managing Partner of XXIII Capital Inc. (“XXIII”), a private industrial real estate investment firm he started at the beginning of 2023 in partnership with the Birchall Family (Longbow Capital Inc.) and the Cockwell Family (Ursataur Capital Inc.). XXIII has secured well over $100M in capital to date from nearly 100 limited partners and two of Canada’s largest financial institutions and has a portfolio of >500,000 SF between completed acquisitions and development projects underway. Prior thereto, Matt served as Managing Director, interim Head of Canadian Capital Markets and SVP, Investment Sales for one of Canada’s largest brokerages where he oversaw a team of >80 professionals. His role at Colliers came after 12 years of investment banking experience and advising on >$40 billion in completed transactions. Matt is also a Director with Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids, a non-profit providing lunches to ~8,000 Calgary students (K – 9) in >300 schools across more than 30 communities with the help of over 40 full-time employees and over 1,000 volunteers.
