Mike Brescia is Chief Operating Officer and Partner at Western Securities Limited, a Calgary-based real estate company that develops, owns and manages a diversified portfolio of more than $1 billion in assets across Calgary and Texas.

Mike oversees the company’s strategic and financial planning and provides direction across development, asset and property management, acquisitions, dispositions and financing. He supports a team of more than 75 people across Canada and the United States and serves as the primary relationship lead for many of the company’s investment partnerships. His experience spans mixed-use, multifamily, retail, office, medical office, industrial and land investments, with a focus on translating investment strategy into successful project delivery and long-term asset performance.

Combining an owner’s perspective with direct experience in development and operations, Mike has played a central role in growing Western Securities’ portfolio and expanding its investment approach from a foundation of family capital to include institutional and private partnerships.
